CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-051
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF
THE BALLOTS FROM THE APRIL 11, 1995, SPECIAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the City's records retention schedule provides for the preservation of election
ballots for one year following an election; and
WHEREAS, the ballots cast in the April 11, 1995, special municipal election have been
preserved since that time as required by law and city regulation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to destroy ballots cast in the April 11, 1995,
special municipal election in accordance with standard procedures for the destruction of other city
records.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd
day of April, 1996.
