RESOLUTION NO. 96-071
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, SETTING AND AMENDING VARIOUS
FEES AND AMENDING DEFINITIONS IN THE CITY OF SEWARD
PORT AND HARBOR TARIFF
WHEREAS, the Harbor Department has recommended various reductions in operating costs
and rate adjustments to achieve a balanced budget for FY 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Port and Harbor Tariff was approved by the City Council and took effect
January 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the tariff must be amended to reflect the recommended rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. There is hereby established a monthly moorage rate based on 18 percent of the
annual moorage fee.
Section 2. The fees for public showers is hereby increased from $1.00 to $2.00.
Section 3. The annual waiting list fee is hereby increased from $20.00 to $30.00
Section 4. The labor rate for labor provided by City personnel is hereby increased from
$39.32 per hour to $41.47 per hour straight time.
Section 5. The definition regarding wharfage rates for incoming unprocessed fish is hereby
amended to read, "$35.00 per ton for unprocessed fresh fish."
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect July 1, 1996.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 28th
day of May 1996.
