CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-079
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, EXTENDING THE ANIMAL CONTROL
CONTRACT THROUGH JUNE 30, 1997
WHEREAS, on February 12, 1996, the City Council approved Resolution No. 96-023 which
authorized the City Manager to enter into a contract with Dee Johnson to provide animal control services
to the City for the period March 1, 1996, through June 30, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has agreed to continue to perform under the contract for the same
monthly compensation as was paid in FY 1996; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has provided satisfactory service to the City under the terms of the
contract, and it is the City's desire to take advantage of the contract extension option;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEW ARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment NO.1 to the animal control contract between the City and Dee Johnson,
a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 24th day of
June, 1997.

AMENDMENT NO.1
AMENDMENT NO.1, to the AGREEMENT between the City of Seward and Dee
Johnson, dated June 17, 1996, follows:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD with offices at Seward, Alaska, hereinafter
called "Seward," and DEE JOHNSON, who resides at Seward, Alaska, hereinafter called
"Johnson", entered into an agreement for the management of Animal Control within the City .
of Seward, on February 16, 1996
WHEREAS, the continuation of the existing AGREEMENT is desirous to both
Seward and Johnson;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual exchange of the promises of the
parties, the parties agree to amend the AGREEMENT as follows:

The AGREEMENT is extended one year, through June 30, 1996, as provided in
Section 4. A of the AGREEMENT.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, all other terms and conditions of the
AGREEMENT dated June 17, 1996, remain in force and effect.
