RESOLUTION NO. 96-088
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING CITY COUNCIL
RULES OF PROCEDURE, RULE 39, COUNCIL TRAVEL
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted its Rules of Procedure on March 14, 1994; and
WHEREAS, these rules were amended on July 5,1995; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend Rule 39, Council Travel, to clarify notice
procedures and follow-up reporting procedures for all elected and appointed official travel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Rule 39 of the Council's adopted Rules of Procedure is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Rule 39. The Council may appropriate funds for Council travel in the Mayor-
Council department of the annual City budget. Any Councilmember who desires to
expend Council travel funds shall complete the regular City Travel Authorization
Form available in the City Clerk's Office [Appendix A-2]. Upon his return, the
Councilmember must file all receipts for travel with the City Clerk and must sign a
completed Travel/Expense Report Form [Appendix A-3]. The receipts and
reimbursement form will then be forwarded to the Finance Department for
processing. and payment will be made to the requesting party.
Prior notice of all elected and appointed official travel must be given to the
City Council. A written or oral report must be given to the Council following any
such city-funded travel.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.

of July, 1996.
