CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-091
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO HOMELAND
ENTERPRISES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SKATE PARK IN
WATERFRONT PARK AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City issued a request for bids for the construction of a skateboard facility
in Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received in response to the City's request for bids; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the funds for construction of the skateboard facility are available
in the Parks and Recreation Department budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Homeland
Enterprises for construction of a skateboard facility in Waterfront Park in accordance with
specifications provided by the City for a contract amount not to exceed $30,836.50.
Section 2. The sum of$9,811.50 is hereby appropriated from Account No. 101-0000-3041,
designated for Community Center Renovations, to Account No. 101-l4XX-XXXX, Parks and
Recreation Department Operating Budget, and the Fiscal Year 1997 budget is amended accordingly.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 15th
day of July, 1996.
