CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-092
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING A 7,386 ALASKA
INSTITUTIONAL SERVICES GRANT FOR THE LIBRARY
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library (Library) applies annually for the Institutional
Services Library Grant from the Alaska State Library; and
WHEREAS, funds from this grant must be used to supplement library service to
approximately 475 inmates at the Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward; and
WHEREAS, the Library's FY 1997 grant award totals $7,386; and
WHEREAS, receipt of the grant is contingent upon City Council acceptance of the grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An Alaska Institutional Services Library Grant totaling $7,386 is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The grant funds accepted in Section 1, above, are appropriated as follows:

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
