CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-096
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR A GPS
SURVEY FOR THE SEWARD AIRPORT TO FACILITATE DESIGN
OF A GPS INSTRUMENT APPROACH AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from ERA Aviation for assistance in developing
an instrument approach to the Seward Airport; and
WHEREAS, the FAA has indicated that the Seward Airport could benefit from a GPS
instrument approach following a survey provided that the City comply with the requisite public
hearing and environmental review components of the law; and
WHEREAS, the City requested proposals from the two Anchorage firms identified by ERA
Aviation as qualified to perform a GPS survey; and
WHEREAS, LCMF was the most responsive proposer to the City's request for proposals;
and
WHEREAS, there are no funds in the approved FY 1997 budget for this contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with LCMF in an
amount not to exceed $15,905 to perform a GPS survey for the Seward Airport.
Section 2. The FY 1997 budget is hereby amended by appropriating the sum of $15,905
from the General Fund fund balance account number 101-0000-3050 to General Services Contract
Services account number 101-1180-5390.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12th
day of August, 1996.
