CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-110
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CLINIC
SPACE LEASE PAYMENTS TO SEA VIEW PLAZA
WHEREAS, last winter the City extended its lease of clinic space located in Seaview Plaza
through February 1997; and
WHEREAS, since transfer of clinic operations to Providence Alaska Medical Center on July
1, 1996, Providence has been making the monthly payments under the lease agreement; and
WHEREAS, Providence has recently relocated the clinic from Seaview Plaza to the hospital
facility and is no longer responsible for the payments under the lease; and
WHEREAS, the lease agreement does not include a provision for termination of the lease
prior to its February 1997 expiration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of$7,647.50 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund fimd balance
Account No. 101-0000-3050 to Other Current Liabilities Account No. 101-0000-2290-0900 to cover
the cost of clinic lease contractual obligations to Seaview Properties.
Section 2. The City hereby accepts a contribution in the amount of $7,647.50 from
Providence Alaska Medical Center to assist in the payment of this obligation.
Section. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 26th
day of August, 1996.
