CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 96-114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE
OF A POLICE VEHICLE AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council provided funds in the FY 1997 budget for the purchase of a
vehicle for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised a request for bids to provide a 4-wheel drive 4-door utility
vehicle in accordance with standard city bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, of the four bids received, the lowest was submitted by NYE Frontier Ford;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase order to NYE Frontier Ford
in an amount not to exceed $35,905 to purchase a 1997 Ford Expedition for the Police Department.
Section 2. The sum of$1,905 is hereby appropriated from the Motor Pool Fund Retained
Earnings Account No.1 02-0000-3050 to the Fixed Asset - Vehicles Account No. l02-0000-1630-
0300.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day
of September, 1996.
