CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1
TO THE METCO CONTRACT FOR ADDITIONAL WORK AT
LOT 6A, FOLZ SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the city of Seward purchased Lots 6-9, replatted as Lot 6A, Folz
Subdivision, for use as a substation and pole yard site; and
WHEREAS, a contract was awarded to Metco for clearing, fill and related work
on October 28,1991; and
WHEREAS, since the contract was awarded, the city was notified by the State of
Alaska DOT/PF that a ditch was required along the front of the property for flood
control; and
WHEREAS, Metco has proposed to dig a 350 foot ditch, install two 40 foot by 24
inch culverts, backfill two driveways and dispose of ditch material for an added cost of
$4,472;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue Change Order No.1 to the
Metco contract to provide additional clearing and fill on Lot 6A, Folz Subdivision for an
added amount not to exceed $4,472 for a total contract amount of $75,351.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of February, 1992.
