CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH LAND FIELD SERVICES
BY INCREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1990, the city awarded a contract to Land Field
Services, Inc., to perform various services necessary to obtain permits and easements for
the new electrical transmission line; and
WHEREAS, the contract amount was arbitrarily set at $50,000 because the scope
of the work could not be adequately defined; and
WHEREAS, the majority of the work to be performed was to be paid on the basis
of time and materials; and
WHEREAS, Land Field Services has performed work in excess of the contract
amount and has projected additional costs to complete its work through Mile 18, Seward
Highway, and the cost of this work has been well documented;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Land Field Services, Inc., contract amount is hereby increased from
$50,000 to not to exceed $100,000.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
9th day of March, 1992.
