Sponsored by: Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 92-041 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO.1 TO THE DRYDEN & LARUE CONTRACT FOR TRANSMISSION LINE DESIGN WHEREAS, on January 13, 1992, the Council approved Resolution No. 92-005, authorizing a budget of up to 6% of the transmission line budget, not to exceed $478,585, for the Dryden & Larue contract to design the project; and WHEREAS, the city desires to amend the Dryden & Larue contract to provide for inspection services through Phase I-A for an estimated total cost of $87,648, including a 10% contingency; and WHEREAS, funds are available within the transmission line grant to cover this change order; and WHEREAS, in addition to the funds noted above, the city will provide office space and a vehicle for the inspector; and WHEREAS, the city anticipates that the services of an inspector will result in a cost savings to the city as well as insure that the construction is of a high standard and within bid amounts; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. Change Order No.1 to the Dryden & Larue contract, providing inspection services through Phase I-A of the transmission line project and increasing the total bid amount in the sum of $79,680.00, is hereby approved. Section 2. The city manager is hereby authorized to establish a transmission line inspection budget totalling $87,648.00 which includes a 10% contingency in the amount of $7,968.00. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 23rd day of March, 1992. . . .
