CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-043
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A CITY APPLICATION
FOR CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT STATUS
WHEREAS, the Certified Local Government designation is beneficial to the
community of Seward; and
WHEREAS, federal grants are available through the State of Alaska for various
historical preservation projects; and
WHEREAS, eligibility for funding is dependent on approved certified local
government status prior to submitting proposed projects for funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Seward, Alaska, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby directed to proceed with the application
process for Certified Local Government designation.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of April, 1992.
