RESOLUTION 99-094
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, RETURNING MONIES IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,887.92 FROM
THE HARBOR ELECTRIC UPGRADE CAPITAL PROJECT TO THE
GENERAL FUND FUND BALANCE AND CLOSING OUT THE PROJECT
AS OF JUNE 30, 1999.
WHEREAS, in 1995 Council established a capital project in the Harbor Enterprise Fund
to provide electrical upgrades in the small boat harbor and established a total project budget cost
of $272,250, with $247,500 being provided by a grant from the State of Alaska Department of
Transportation and $24,750 being provided by the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the General Fund monies came from the overhead on the project which
Council agreed to allocate back to the project since the Harbor Enterprise Fund did not have the
monies available to fund the total project; and
WHEREAS, the project has been completed, the final grant report has been filed and it
is now time to close out this project; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds were used to pay a portion of the project overhead leaving
a balance in the project of General Fund monies in the amount of $14,887.92.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Return monies in the amount of$14,887.92 from the Harbor Electric Upgrade
Capital Proj ect, account 302-0000- 3070-0101, to the General Fund fund balance, account 101-0000-
3070-0000, closing out the project as ofJune 30, 1999.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12 day
ofJuly, 1999.
