CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-068
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING THE SUMMER YOUTH
EMPLOYMENT GRANT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has been awarded a Summer Youth Employment
and Training Program grant in the amount of $20,514.44; and
WHEREAS, this program provides summer employment and job training for six
to eight disadvantaged youth ages 14 to 21; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this program is to prepare the participants for the
work world by offering a variety of assignments and instructions, including resume
preparation and real-life work experience;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The city of Seward hereby ACCEPTS the Summer Youth Employment
and Training Program grant in the amount of $20,514 for the purpose of providing a
youth employment training program for the period June 1 through August 14, 1992.
Section 2. The Parks and Recreation Department's grant revenue account No.
is hereby increased in the amount of $20,514.
Section 3. The Parks and Recreation Department's budget is hereby amended by
appropriating $20,514 to the expense budget as follows:

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
