RESOLUTION NO. 92-080
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RESCHEDULING THE JUNE 2, 1992,
SPECIAL ELECTION TO COINCIDE WITH THE JUNE 23, 1992,
SPECIAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, on April 27, 1992, the City Council approved a resolution calling for
a special election to be held on June 2, 1992, in order for the electors of the city to vote
on a proposition to sell revenue bonds to fund sewer improvements in Dairy Hill; and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1992, the City Council approved resolutions calling for a
special election on June 23, 1992, to submit two additional propositions to the voters of
the city of Seward; and '
WHEREAS, conducting two special elections within a three week period would
be both costly and would be an inconvenience to the voters of the city; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to conduct only one special election and to
submit all three ballot propositions to the voters of the city at one election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Resolution No. 92-056. calling for a special election to be held in the city
of Seward, Alaska, on June 2, 1992, is hereby amended to change the date of the special
election to June 23, 1992.
Section 2. The City Clerk is instructed to issue all notices as may be necessary and
appropriate to inform the voters of the city of this change in special election date.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
18th day of May, 1992.
