CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-084
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE SUBLEASE OF THE,
SILVER SALMON DERBY BOOTH BY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
TO TRADEWIND FISHING CHARTERS, INC. FOR USE AS A
FISHING CHARTER TICKET OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce leases the Salmon Derby Booth located at
the Small Boat Harbor at no cost; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce desires to sublease the booth to Tradewind
Fishing Charters, Inc. for use as a fishing charter ticket office during the summer months;
and
WHEREAS, the booth will be vacated during the month of August so that the
Chamber can utilize the building to run the Silver Salmon Derby; and
WHEREAS, revenues received from the sublease will be used to make needed
upgrades and improvements to the Salmon Derby Booth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Sublease of the Silver Salmon Derby Booth by the Chamber of
Commerce to Tradewind Fishing Charters, Inc. is hereby approved.
Section 2. The booth shall be subleased for the period May 15, 1992, to September
30, 1992, excluding the month of August for a total income of $3,000 to the Chamber of
Commerce, such funds to be used for improvements to the Silver Salmon Derby Booth.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of May, 1992.
