CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-099
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO
THE LAND FIELD SERVICES CONTRACT TO ACQUISITION
OF EASEMENTS FOR TRANSMISSION LINE CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1992, the City Council approved an increase to the Land
Field Services contract which brought the total authorized contract amount to $100,000;
and
WHEREAS, since that time, Land Field Services, Inc., has incurred additional
expenses; and
WHEREAS, although most of the easements necessary for transmission line
construction have been obtained, some additional work under this contract remains; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to contract with Land Field Services to work
with the U. S. Forest Service in Anchorage to expedite approval of the Forest Service
permit for construction over the Mile 12 hill; and
WHEREAS, funds are available within the project budget to cover the additional
cost of this change order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A change order to the Land Field Services, Inc., contract totalling
$27,328.50, bringing the authorized contract amount to a total not to exceed $127,328.50,
is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
8th day of June, 1992.
