CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO
THE AMERICA NORTH!EMCON, INC., CONTRACT FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF A PLAN TO DISPOSE OF SLUDGE
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has signed a professional services contract with
America North/EMCON, Inc., to develop a sludge disposal plan and to perform other
services necessary to protect life and property and respond to regulatory agencies in
regard to the failure of the Lowell Point Sewage Treatment Lagoon; and
WHEREAS, the total contract amount authorized to date is $32,630; and
WHEREAS, America North/EMCON, Inc., has incurred additional charges not yet
reimbursed that exceed this amount in the amount of $3,389.66; and
WHEREAS, it was necessary to task the contractor to do this additional work in
order to protect life and property and to respond to state and federal regulatory agency
mandates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A change order to the America North/EMCON, Inc., contract in the
amount of $3,389.66, bringing the authorized contract amount to a total amount not to
exceed $36,019.66, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
8th day of June, 1992.
