Sponsored by: Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 92-109 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD1 ALASKA, ACCEPTING A GRANT FOR PUBLIC RAMP ACCESS SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS IN THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR1 APPROVING THE PROPOSED PROJECT AND ASSUMING OWNERSHIP OF THE PEDESTRIAN RAMP UPON COMPLETION WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has made a tentative allocation totalling $55,000 for improvements to the public access ramp system in the Small Boat Harbor; and WHEREAS, receipt of this grant is contingent upon the Council formally accepting the funds, approving the proposed project and agreeing to assume ownership of the ramp upon its completion; and WHEREAS, the project would provide a 1oo-ft. public gangway for day cruiser passengers; and WHEREAS, the monies to fund the city's share of the project were allocated in the recently approved FY 1993 harbor budget; and WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to accept the grant funds and to proceed with the project; NOW1 THEREFORE1 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEW ARDI ALASKA1 that: Section 1. The city hereby formally accepts a grant totalling $55/000.00 from the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for public access ramp system improvements in the Seward Small Boat Harbor. Section 2. The project to construct a 1oo-ft. public gangway for day cruiser passengers in the Small Boat Harbor is hereby approved. Section 3. The sum of $55,000.00 is hereby appropriated from Harbor Grant Revenue Account No. 282-4680-0200, and the sum of $49,250.00 is hereby appropriated from the Harbor Fund Operating Transfers Account No. 401-3070, and the total sum of $104,250.00 is appropriated to Capital Projects Account No. 282-2820-XXXX for the purpose of funding the above cited project. . . CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 92-109 Section 4. The city of Seward hereby agrees to assume complete ownership of the pedestrian ramp upon its completion. Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd day of June, 1992.
