CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF POWER
POLES WITHOUT FULL UTILIZA nON OF CITY BID PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, power poles which meat REA specifications are specialty items
available from a limited number of suppliers; and
WHEREAS, the city Electric Department has requested price quotes from four
vendors to supply Douglas Fir penta treated power poles; and
WHEREAS, Potelcom supply of Anchorage presented the lowest price quote, and
the Utility Engineer has determined that the price quoted is reasonable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase order not to exceed
$22,325.00 to Potelcom Supply of Anchorage for the purchase of Douglas Fir penta treated
power poles.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of June, 1992.
