CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF ALASKA FOR LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION
FUND ACT GRANT MONIES FOR WATERFRONT PARK IMPROVEMENTS
AND ESTABLISHING A PROJECT BUDGET
WHEREAS, on May 11, 1992, the City Council approved Resolution No. 92-069,
accepting a grant from the state Land and Water Conservation Fund totalling $90,088, to
provide improvements to the Waterfront Park; and
WHEREAS, the Alaska State Parks, administrators of the grant funds, require that
the Council approve the grant agreement, a copy of which is attached and incorporated
herein by reference, in a duly authorized Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, the grant requires that the city provide matching funds for the project;
and
WHEREAS, these funds will be provided in part from monies totalling $55,000
which were budgeted in the FY 1993 Capital Acquisition Fund for this project; and
WHEREAS, force account work and donated materials and labor will make up the
$35,887 balance of the city's required matching funds; and
WHEREAS, a project budget totalling $181,775, as outlined herein, will be
established for the park improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The grant agreement between the city of Seward and the State of
Alaska Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation for Land and Water Conservation Fund
Act monies totalling $90,888, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the city of Seward.
Section 2. The Fiscal Year 1993 budget is hereby amended as follows:
