RESOLUTION NO. 92-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE GENERAL TERMINAL
TARIFF TO PROVIDE A WHARFAGE RATE FOR BULK GRAVEL
WHEREAS, on January 22, 1990, the City Council approved Resolution No. 90-009,
adopting the General Terminal Tariff No.1, setting rules, regulation sand charges for city
docks and terminals, except for the shiplift dock and the Small Boat Harbor; and
WHEREAS, this tariff was amended on April 9, 1990, June 10, 1991, and June 22,
1992, by passage of Resolution No. 90-031, No. 91-068, and No. 92-096, respectively; and
WHEREAS, the current tariff does not provide a wharfage rate specifically for bulk
gravel; and
WHEREAS, the rate listed for items not otherwise specified in the tariff would
make the shipment of gravel over the city's docks cost prohibitive; and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to establish a competitive wharfage rate for the
movement of bulk gravel across city docks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment No.4 to the General Terminal Tariff No.1 Naming Rules,
Rates, Charges and Regulations for the city of Seward docks and terminal facilities, as
attached and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby adopted.
Section 2. This resolution and Amendment No.4 shall take effect upon filing
same with the Federal Maritime Commission.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of July, 1992.
