Sponsored by: Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 92-125 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER TO THE HOMELAND ENTERPRISES CONTRACT FOR ELECTRICAL WORK WHEREAS, the Council previously approved a project to construct an additional exit door from the basement of City Hall and authorized the expenditure of $13,195.00 for the projectj and WHEREAS, subsequent to award of a contract to Homeland Enterprises which included no electrical work, an electrical conduit and fixture were discovered in the location where the door was to be installedj and WHEREAS, Homeland Enterprises was constructing the project during evenings and weekends to reduce interference with city, state and court activities, a:pd it was necessary to direct the contractor to relocate the electrical service on a time and materials basis in order to prevent delaying the work and increasing project costj and WHEREAS, Homeland Enterprises subcontracted with Air Tek, Inc., a local firm, to do the electrical work at a cost of $1,634.93, increasing the total project cost to $13,683.93j NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The basement door project budget is hereby increased in the amount of $443.93, bringing the new total project budget to $13,638.93. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a change order for electrical work in the amount of $1,634.93 to the Homeland Enterprises contract for basement door installation. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 27th day of July, 1992. THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA .
