CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN ACCOUNTING
SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, in early 1989, the City Council approved the purchase of a new
computer and software to be used in the Finance Deparbnentj and
WHEREAS, computer conversion began in August 1989j and
WHEREAS, the city has experienced delays and problems with the installation of
the Accounts Receivable module for Harbor and Utility applicationsj and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that these problems will be resolved and the module
functioning properly by early August 1992, and final payment will then be. made to
Timelinej and
WHEREAS, the existing software maintenance agreement with Timeline will expire
on September 30, 1992j and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to extend this maintenance agreement for an
additional yearj and
WHEREAS, this contract is exempt from the city's customary bid process under
~ 6.10.120 of the City Codej
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Timeline, Inc., for software maintenance from October 1, 1992 through September 30,
1993, in the amount of $13,200.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
27th day of July, 1992.
