CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-135
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
METCO, INC., TO PROVIDE WINTER STREET SAND
WHEREAS, in accordance with City Code required bid procedures, a request for
bids to provide 1200 cubic yards of winter street sand was advertised in the Seward
Phoenix Log: and
WHEREAS, METCO, Inc., submitted the only bid in response to the city's
advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted has been found to be reasonable, and the bidder
has been found to be responsible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
METCO, Inc., to provide 1200 cubic yards of winter street sand to the city for an amount
not to exceed $13,200.00, or $11.00 per cubic yard.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of August, 1992.
