CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING TASK ORDER NO.6
TO THE DRYDEN & LARUE CONTRACf FOR DESIGN OF
THE TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECf
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved Task Orders Numbers 1
through 5 authorizing payment to Dryden and LaRue for design of the 115 KV
Transmission Line; and
WHEREAS, Task Order No.6 will combine and supersede all previously approved
Task Orders and authorize funding for the completion of the design of the 115 KV
Transmission Line between Miles 3.5 and 19; and
WHEREAS, the additional projected cost of design of the Transmission Line can
be attributed to the excessive pennit requirements and associated costs to obtain
approvals from various government agenciesj and
WHEREAS, funds for this Task Order are available in the project budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Task Order No.6 to the Dryden and LaRue contract for design of the
Transmission Line Project, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by
reference, is hereby approved.
Section 2. The total cost of Task Order No.6, which combines and supersedes all
previously approved Task Orders, is $660,305, including a 10% contingency of $60,028.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
24th day of August, 1992.
