CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO NORCON, INC.
FOR CLEARING BETWEEN MILES 8 AND 18, PHASE I-B, OF THE
115 KV TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the city fonnally advertised for bids from pre-qualified bidders for
right-of-way clearing between miles 8 and 18, Phase I-B, of the 115 KV transmission line
project on July 31, 1992; and
WHEREAS, three responsive bids were received and opened on Friday, August
21,1992; with NORCON submitting the low bid of $328,908.00; and
WHEREAS, funding is available within the Transmission Line Project Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
NORCON, INe., for clearing of miles 8 to 18 of the transmission line project for a total
contract price of $328,908.00 plus a contingency of $32,890.00 for a total project cost of not
to exceed $361,798.00.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
24th day of August, 1992.
