A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY /
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR REMQVAL
OF ALDERS ALONG THE LAGOON BOARDWALK ANfl

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a large, ei~avated foundation
located on public property near B Street along the Ballaine BoulevCJid Greenbelt presents
a danger to the publicj and /
WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined/~at the over-growth of
alders and brush along the Seward Lagoon Boardwalk is a tblic nuisancej and
WHEREAS, funds and manpower for these projectS' are not available within the
Fiscal Year 1993 budget; /

. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TryE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: /
Section 1. The sum of $1,250.00 is hereby ppropriated form the General Fund
Fund Balance Account No. 101-3020 to the Publi Works Budget Account No. 101-1310-
5790 for the purpose of purchasing and haulin material to fill the foundation located
near B Street along the Ballaine Boulevard Gr enbelt.
Section 2. The sum of $2,400.00 is reby appropriated from the General Fund
Fund Balance Account No. 101-3020 to Parks and Recreation Deparbnent Budget
Account No. 101-14OQ..539O for the purpo of contracting for the removal of brush along
the Seward Lagoon Boardwalk.
Section 3. This resolution sha take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED Y the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
24th day of August, 1992. /
