CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-152
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
LOWELL POINT LAGOON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid for a contract to make certain improvements to
the Lowell Point Sewage Treatment Lagoon was properly advertised on August 18,1992;
and
WHEREAS, four firms responded to the advertised RFP; and
WHEREAS, the bids were reviewed by the city administration and by city
consultant CH2M Hill; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder, Construction and Rigging, was determined to be a
responsive and responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
contract with Construction and Rigging for an amount not to exceed $1,269,000 for
Lowell Point Sewage Treatment Lagoon improvements.
Section 2. A project account totalling $1,395,900, which includes as $126,900
contingency fund, is hereby established.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
14th day of September, 1992.
