CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-167
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL REVENUE
ACCOUNT, APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND ADJUSTING THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT BUDGET TO FACILITATE PHASE I
DEVELOPMENT OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 92-051 authorized the city to apply for Fiscal Year 1992
historic preservation grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the city has been awarded a matching grant totalling $4,000 from the
Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor recreation, for
completion of the first phase of a Historic Preservation Plan for the community; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the matching funds will be from the Community
Development Department Budget and in-kind contributions; and
WHEREAS, because these funds are received as a reimbursement of completed
work, there is a need to appropriate funds to match those grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the city anticipates receiving additional funds in Fiscal Year 1993 for
Phase 2 of the multi-year project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to establish a special revenue account to
preclude the lapsing of funds at the end of the fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Historic Preservation Plan Special Revenue Account No.
144-1440-XXXX is hereby established with the following budget:

Section 2. The sum of $4,000 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Fund
Balance Account No. 101-3050 to Special Revenue Account No. 144-1440-5390, Contractual
Services.
Section 3. The Community Development Deparbnent budget is hereby amended
as follows:

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
