Sponsored by: Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 92-190 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE JESSE LEE HOME WHEREAS, pursuant to the National Park Service Historic Preservation Act of 1966, certain federal share matching grants for historic preservation projects are available to certified local governments; and WHEREAS, the application prepared for such federal share matching grant for writing a National Historic Register Nomination for the Jesse Lee Home has been reviewed; and WHEREAS, the city is fully cognizant of the obligations and responsibilities it will incur upon acceptance of such grant; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to proceed with the application process for Fiscal Year 1993 historic preservation grant funds for processing a National Historic Register nomination for the Jesse Lee Home. Section 2. The Community Development Director is designated as the authorized agent for the city of Seward for administration of this project. Section 3. If awarded a grant, a resolution will be introduced to the City Council to appropriate matching funds for this project. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
