CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 92-196
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH VEl CONSULTANTS TO
DESIGN THE DAIRY HILL SEWER SYSTEM
WHEREAS, a request for proposals for professional services to design a sewage
collection system for Dairy Hill was properly advertised; and
WHEREAS, eight firms responded and all firms were determined to be well
qualified to provide the services; and
WHEREAS, VEl Consultants proposed to do the work for an amount approximate-
ly equal to the funds budgeted for the design phase of this project; and
WHEREAS, several references knowledgeable to VEl's performance recommended
this firm as highly suited for the city's project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a professional
services agreement with VEl Consultants to design the Dairy Hill Sewer System for an
amount not to exceed $40,672.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
28th day of December, 1992.
