CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A LICENSE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY AND SEWARD FISHERIES, INC.,
FOR USE OF THE CITY DOCK
WHEREAS, in the past the city has granted preferential use to Seward Fisheries,
Inc., for a portion of the boat lift dock, the T dock and the wharf area at the north end
of the Small Boat Harbor; and
WHEREAS, the most current agreement expired December 31,1992; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the agreement, Seward Fisheries will remain
responsible for routine maintenance and repair costs associated with the dock in
exchange for such preferential use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a license agreement
between the city of Seward and Seward Fisheries, Inc., for preferential use of the inside
seventeen (17) feet of the Boat Lift Dock and the T Dock and the wharf between these
two docks.
Section 2. The city will continue to charge moorage fees for vessels tied to the
above named docks and will moor vessels at the docks when they are not being used by
fishing vessels for product off-loading under the terms of the agreement.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
8th day of March, 1993.
