CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ESTABLISHING A BAIL SCHEDULE
FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS WITHIN THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Parking Plan for the Seward Small
Boat Harbor; and
WHEREAS, the current bail schedule levies a $25.00 fine for all parking violations
with the exception of ''blocking a fire hydrant" and "parking within 15 ft. of a fire
hydrant"; and
WHEREAS, a decrease in the fine for parking violations should also result in
greater compliance with payment of the fines; and
WHEREAS, the Harbor Parking Plan provides for paid parking within the Small
Boat Harbor, and a fee schedule for said paid parking must be adopted by resolution of
the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The following bail schedule for parking violations within the city of
Seward is hereby ADOPTED:
Offense
Fine
Failure to pay parking fees in a paid lot
Overtime parking in a public lot
Camping in a 3-day lot
Overtime parking on a public street
Parking where prohibited
Blocking a driveway

Section 2. All prior resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
10th day of May, 1993.
