CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
U.S. FOREST SERVICE FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the city sponsored three grant applications to the USDA to receive
funding from the Economic Recovery Program; and
WHEREAS, these grants were sponsored to provide financial assistance for the
Alaska Sea Life Center, Mount Marathon Native Association Crafts Outlet and
development of a shellfish hatchery; and
WHEREAS, the city will administer the grants for the above mentioned projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City hereby accepts grant funds totalling $32,000.00 for the Alaska
Sea Life Center, $10,100.00 for the Mount Marathon Crafts Outlet and $2,800.00 for the
shellfish hatchery.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
24th day of May, 1993.
