CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO ALASKA
GENERAL ALARM FOR DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF
A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM FOR SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, a request for proposals for the design, construction and installation
of a fire alarm system for Seward General Hospital was properly advertised on May 21,
1993; and
WHEREAS, two firms responded to the city's request for proposals; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder was determined to be both responsive and responsible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Alaska
General Alarm in an amount not to exceed $18,213 for the design, construction and
installation of a fire alarm system for Seward General Hospital.
Section 2. A project budget account totalling $20,000, to include a $1,787
contingency, is hereby established.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
14th day of June, 1993.
