RESOLUTION NO. 93-087
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING THE SUBLEASE OF
THE SILVER SALMON DERBY BOOTH FROM THE CHAMBER
OF COMMERCE TO RON CORDLE, DBA TRULY ALASKAN
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce has requested permission to
sublease a portion of the Silver Salmon Derby Booth to Ron Cordle, dba Truly Alaskan,
as an Alaskan crafts gift shop; and
WHEREAS, this use is allowed within the Harbor Commercial Zone; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the booth will continue to be available to the Chamber
of Commerce for operation of various derby activities; and
WHEREAS, revenues from the sublease will be used to offset general Chamber
operational expenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A one-year sublease of the Silver Salmon Derby Booth by the Chamber
of Commerce to Ron Cordle, dba Truly Alaskan, is hereby approved.
Section 2. The Chamber of Commerce shall remain totally responsible for all
provisions of the original lease agreement and nothing in this authorization for sublease
shall relieve the Chamber of Commerce from its obligations under the original lease.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
14th day of June, 1993.
