CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-088
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AN ALPAR GRANT
AND A BOROUGH GRANT FOR LITTER PATROL AND
CITY BEAUTIFICATION AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has received a grant totalling $2,100 from the
Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALP AR) and a grant totalling $2,800 from
the Kenai Peninsula Borough for the purpose of hiring local teenagers to perform litter
control and city beautification; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and administered by the city Parks
and Recreation Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An ALP AR grant totalling $2,100 and a Kenai Peninsula Borough grant
totalling $2,800 are hereby ACCEPTED.
Section 2. The sum of 4,900 is hereby appropriated from Grant Revenue Account
No. 204-4680-0900 to the city Litter Patrol Special Revenue Fund Account No. 215-2150-
XXXX.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
14th day of June, 1993.
