CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION
TO THE CONTRACT WITH KENT DAWSON COMPANY FOR
LOBBYING SERVICES
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1989, the City of Seward entered into an agreement with
Kent Dawson Company to provide lobbying services to the cityj and
WHEREAS, on July 9, 1990, the Council approved Resolution No. 90-080,
extending this contract through the first session of the Seventeenth Alaska State
Legislaturej and
WHEREAS, on June 24, 1991, the Council approved Resolution No. 91-075,
extending the contract through the second session of the Seventeenth Alaska State
Legislaturej and
WHEREAS, on June '12, 1992, the Council approved Resolution No. 92-107,
extending the contract through the first session of the Eighteenth Alaska State
Legislaturej and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward wishes to continue this agreement through the
second session of the Eighteenth Alaska State Legislature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment No. 4 to the Kent Dawson Company agreement for
lobbying services, a copy of which is attached and incorporated herein by reference, is
hereby approved, and the City Manager is authorized to execute same on behalf of the
City of Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of July, 1993.

AMENDMENT NO.4 - REVISED

Revised AMENDMENT NO.4, to the AGREEMENT between the City of Seward and Kent Dawson
Company, dated July 1, 1989, follows:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD with offices at Seward, Alaska, hereinafter called "Seward," and
KENT DAWSON COMPANY, an Alaskan company with offices at 311 North Franklin Street, Juneau, Alaska,
hereinafter called "Dawson,' entered into an AGREEMENT for consultative, advisory and lobbying services
on July 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the continuation of the existing AGREEMENT is desirous to both Seward and Dawson;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual exchange of promises of the parties, the parties
agree to amend the AGREEMENT as follows:
The only changes in the AGREEMENT shall be to Paragraph 1. Duties and Term, final sentence
amended to reacl: 'Seward hereby contracts and employs Dawson as of July 1, 1993, through June 30,
1994."
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, all other terms and conditions of the AGREEMENT dated July
1, 1989, remain in force and effect.
