CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-102
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT
OF DAVID R. CALVERT AS MANAGER OF ENGINEERING
AND UTILITIES
WHEREAS, former Manager of Engineering and Utilities, E. Paul Diener, retired
effective May 28, 1993; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.20.015 of the City Code authorizes the city manager to
appoint the city engineer with Council approval; and
WHEREAS, David R. Calvert has been employed as Utility Engineer since August
1990 and has held the position as Acting Manager of Engineering and Utilities since May
28, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has appointed David R. Calvert to the position of
Manager of Engineering and Utilities contingent upon confirmation by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The appointment of David R. Calvert as Manager of Utilities and
Engineering is hereby confirmed by the City Council.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of July, 1993.
