CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-103
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE SPECIAL USE OF
BOULDER STADIUM AS A CIRCUS SITE ON JULY 15,1993
WHEREAS, the Seward Teen Council has requested the use of Boulder Stadium
on July 15, 1993, for use by the King Royal Circus as a circus site; and
WHEREAS, local service organizations were contacted but were not interested in
sponsoring the event; and
WHEREAS, the Teen Council desires to sponsor the event as a fund raiser and
will receive a percentage of all ticket revenues sold prior to the event; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 92-12 provides that solicitation of funds or sales on city
property is prohibited unless specifically authorized by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Teen Council and the King Royal Circus are authorized
to use Boulder Stadium as a circus site on July 15, 1993.
Section 2. The Teen Council will provide a garbage dumpster and water at the
site and the Circus will provide insurance, a percentage of proceeds from ticket sales and
will clean up the area following the performance.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
12th day of July, 1993.
