CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A VENDOR PERMIT AUTHORIZING
THE SALE OF THE SEWARD PHOENIX LOG ON CITY PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Seward City Code ~ 8.10.015 prohibits the sale of goods on city
property unless specifically authorized by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, owners of the Seward Phoenix Log have requested such authorization
to permit the sales of newspapers on public property including the beach area,
campgrounds, the Small Boat Harbor and city streets and sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to allow the such sales in these public areas
provided that the sales are limited to newspapers only and are by non-salaried or non-
wage-paid carriers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Phoenix Log is hereby issued a vendor permit for the sale
of newspapers on city-owned public property to include the beach area, public
campgrounds, the Small Boat harbor, and city streets and sidewalks.
Section 2. A copy of this resolution shall serve as the permit issued in accordance
with Section 8.10.015 of the Seward City Code.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of September, 1993.
