RESOLUTION NO. 93-130
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR OIL SPILL
REMEDIATION AT THE Fr. RAYMOND SUBSTATION
WHEREAS, in April 1993, the Council authorized an increase in the Dames and
More contract for remediation of the oil spill at Ft. Raymond Substation; and
WHEREAS, the funds appropriated by the Council lapsed on June 30, 1993, and
were not included in the FY 1994 city budget; and
WHEREAS, this is an on-going project and will require monitoring for approxi-
mately one year; and
WHEREAS, the administration recommends that the Council reappropriate the
total amount of lapsed funds and authorized the City Manager to issue a purchase order
in that amount for completion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $34,750.58 is hereby appropriated from the Electric Fund
Fund Balance to the Electric Fund Substation Contract Services Account No. 501-5110-
5390.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to issue a purchase order to Dames
and Moore in an amount not to exceed $34,750.58 to complete the Ft. Raymond
Substation oil spill remediation project.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of September, 1993.
