CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-131
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR SNOW
REMOVAL AND SANDING AT NASH ROAD AND LOWELL POINT ROAD
WHEREAS, the city advertised for bids to provide snow removal and sanding
services for Lowell Point Road, Nash Road and the Seward Marine Industrial Center areaj
and
WHEREAS, two bids were received to provide these servicesj and
WHEREAS, the administration wishes to award separate contracts to the two
proposersj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract to METCO,
Inc., for snow removal and sanding services at Nash Road and the Seward Marine
Industrial Center area in an amount not to exceed $20,000.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a contract to Afognak
Logging for snow removal and sanding services at Lowell Point Road in an amount not
to exceed $8,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of September, 1993.
