CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-132
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING PAYMENT FOR MAINTENANCE
WORK ON SUBSTATION TRANSFORMERS AND RECLOSERS
AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, on April 26, 1993, the Council approved a service agreement with
General Electric to perform maintenance on four substation transformers and eight
reclosers for a total contract amount of $15,000; and
WHEREAS, the city received an invoice for the completed work in June, 1993; and
WHEREAS, because of problems experienced with one of the reclosers following
completion of the maintenance work and which have subsequently been resolved,
payment of the invoice was initially withheld; and
WHEREAS, the funds appropriated for the contract work lapsed on June 30, 1993;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $15,000 is hereby appropriated from the Electric Fund Fund
Balance to the Electric Fund Substation Repair and Maintenance Account No. 501-5110-
5380.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a check in the amount
of $15,000 to General Electric for maintenance on city transformers and reclosers.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of September, 1993.
