CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR FUEL
CONSUMED BY CITY GENERATORS DURING A SCHEDULED POWER
OUTAGE ASSOCIATED WITH TRANSMISSION LINE CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, during the week of August 16, 1993, the city's electrical system was
on generator power to accommodate contractor work on the new transmission line; and
WHEREAS, the fuel bills for this generation exceeded the city manager's $10,000
limit and, therefore, need Council approval for payment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a check in the amount
of $50,475.30 to Marathon Fuel to cover the cost of generating electricity during an
extended power outage associated with new transmission line construction.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
13th day of September, 1993.
