CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-148
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
A VEHICLE FOR THE WATER/SEWER DEPARTMENT FROM
ALASKA SALES & SERVICE
WHEREAS, an invitation for bids to furnish a 3/4 ton extended cab, 4-wheel drive
pick-up truck with snowplow was properly advertised in accordance with city bid
procedures; and
WHEREAS, three firms responded to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, Alaska Sales & Service submitted the low bid; and
WHEREAS, this bidder was found to be responsible and the bid was found to be
responsive to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of this vehicle were included in the FY 1994
budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order to
Alaska Sales and Service for the purchase of a vehicle for the Water/Sewer Department
in an amount not to exceed $23,783.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
25th day of October, 1993.
