CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-154
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
A VEHICLE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the city properly advertised a request for bids to furnish a vehicle for
the Fire Department in accordance with standard city bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, six bids were received in response to the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, Tony's Chevrolet submitted the low bid, and the bid submitted was
found to be responsive to the specifications contained in the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 1994 budget for purchase of this vehicle;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order to
Tony's Chevrolet for purchase of a 1994 pick-up truck and hard cover for the pick-up bed
for the Fire Department for a price not to exceed $22,881.39.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
25th day of October, 1993.
