CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 93-162
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
SPRING CREEK CORRECTIONAL CENTER PROJECT BUDGET
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Corrections has requested that the bulk of
remaining prison construction funds be used for new smoke detector covers, design of
the addition to the House 1 Secure Recreation Yard by Kumin and Associates, the actual
construction of the addition to the Recreation Yard, and project management expenses
associated with this construction; and
WHEREAS, under the Transfer of Responsibilities Agreement for construction of
the prison, all construction budget amendments must be approved by the Seward City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Spring Creek Correctional Center Project Budget is hereby
amended as set forth in Attachment "A" to this resolution.
Section 2. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Commissioner of
the Alaska Department of Corrections.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this
22nd day of November, 1993.
